Jim Banks, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Indiana’s 3rd district, has shared his views on several topics through a series of tweets. Banks, who succeeded Marlin Stutzman in 2017 and previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016, expressed concerns over regulatory burdens and military recruitment issues.

On March 5, 2025, Jim Banks tweeted about the state of national regulations and debt. He stated: “The nation founded by pioneers and risk takers now drowns under millions and millions of pages of regulations and debt.” This was followed by the phrase “DRAIN THE SWAMP!”

In another tweet posted later that day, Banks commented on military recruitment under different administrations. He claimed: “Under Joe Biden, we had a military recruitment crisis. Under President Trump, the Army had its single best recruitment month in 15 years.”

Further expressing support for former President Donald Trump, Banks tweeted about attending a joint address with his brother Chad. On March 5, he wrote: “President Trump loves Indiana! Great to have my brother Chad with me at tonight’s joint address.”
