Senator Jim Banks, who has been serving Indiana’s 3rd district since 2017, recently shared his views on social media regarding the first 100 days of the Trump administration in 2025. Banks, 43, was born in Columbia City, Indiana, and maintains a residence there. He holds a BA from Indiana University Bloomington.

On April 29, 2025, Senator Banks tweeted: “100 days of #AmericaFirst wins for working families under President Donald J. Trump. “ emphasizing the achievements of the Trump administration in its early months. The tweet reflects Banks’ support for the administration’s policies aimed at benefiting working families in America.

In another tweet on the same day, Banks stated: “100 days of the Trump Administration has meant delivering wins for working Americans. Under his leadership, we’re securing our border, bringing back American manufacturing, and standing up for our workers.” This further elaborates on the administration’s initiatives concerning border security, revitalizing manufacturing, and advocating for workers’ rights.

On April 30, 2025, Banks humorously remarked via Twitter: “Margaritas with MS-13 not polling well.” The message could likely be interpreted as a critique of particular policies or narratives involving the MS-13 gang and their perceived unpopularity with the public.

Jim Banks’ tenure in Congress has been focused on policies impacting his constituency, and his social media presence reflects his support for the Trump administration’s agenda.
