Jim Banks, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Indiana’s 3rd district since 2017, recently shared several updates on social media regarding his legislative activities and recognitions. Born in Columbia City, Indiana, Banks has been an active political figure with previous experience in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016.

On March 25, 2025, Jim Banks paid tribute to Medal of Honor recipients. He stated: “Today, we honor the bravery and sacrifice of the 3,500+ Medal of Honor recipients who exemplify unparalleled courage in the face of adversity. Their selfless acts serve as a powerful reminder of the values of duty, honor, and patriotism.”

Later that day, he introduced a bill aimed at protecting American jobs. In his words: “American jobs belong to Americans. My bill prevents tax dollars from going to universities that hire illegal aliens & drive down wages for American workers.” He directed readers to further information provided by Cameron Arcand.

In another update on March 25th, Banks confirmed a significant appointment within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He wrote: “CONFIRMED: Director of NIH @DrJBhattacharya When others were afraid to stand up against group think & COVID hysteria, Dr. Bhattacharya was a common sense leader. His confirmation is a huge win for American health.”
