Jim Banks, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Indiana’s 3rd district since 2017, recently shared his views on military leadership and veteran affairs through a series of tweets. Banks has been an active political figure, having previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016.

On March 6, 2025, Jim Banks expressed support for President Trump’s approach to military leadership by quoting the Secretary of Defense: “Just like @SecDef said, ‘America’s youth want to serve under bold & strong leadership.'” He emphasized that the Pentagon under Trump is removing “useless woke programs” and focusing on readiness and security.

Later that day, Banks commented on President Trump’s commitment to veterans’ affairs: “While CNN is focused on playing politics, President Trump is focused on putting Veterans first.” He highlighted reforms made during Trump’s first term aimed at enhancing care and expanding choice within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

On March 8, 2025, Banks reaffirmed his support for advancing President Trump’s agenda with a brief statement: “I will vote for this to advance the Trump agenda. We have no time to waste.”
