He noted that “President Trump’s America-First trade agenda is working.” Banks criticized Vietnam for acting as a conduit for Chinese goods entering American markets at low prices. He credited the leadership of President Trump, Secretary Scott Bessent, and the U.S. Trade Representative for addressing this issue.
The following day, on July 3, 2025, Banks commented on the state of the economy under Trump’s presidency.
