Senator Jim Banks, representing Indiana’s 3rd district, recently shared updates regarding his engagements and visits on social media. Banks, who graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004 and currently resides in Columbia City, Indiana, continues to focus on educational and policy development activities.

On April 30, 2025, Banks tweeted about his visit with Pam Whitten, president of his alma mater, Indiana University Bloomington. He expressed his pride in the university’s efforts, stating, “Proud of the work IU is doing to shape the next generation of leaders.”

Later on the same day, Banks tweeted his appreciation to the Vandenberg Coalition for hosting him in a discussion about conservative foreign policy, saying, “Thank you to the @VandenbergCo for having me today…”

The following day, May 1, 2025, Banks shared details about his meeting with State Representative Matt Lehman and members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana at his Washington D.C. office. He described the encounter with, “Great to meet with State Rep Matt Lehman and members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana…”

Jim Banks has been part of the U.S. Congress since 2017, succeeding Marlin Stutzman. Prior to his congressional tenure, he served as an Indiana State Senator from 2010 to 2016.
