Senator Jim Banks, representing Indiana, recently posted a series of updates on his social media account highlighting immigration enforcement and federal agency developments in the state.

On July 24, 2025, Banks commented on recent immigration enforcement statistics, writing: “Alternative headline: Over 3/4 of ICE arrests in Indiana last month had criminal charges. Keep the deportations coming, @POTUS”.

Later that day, Banks shared news about the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s expansion plans: ” BIG NEWS for Indiana! USDA is moving closer to the people it serves and picked Indianapolis as one of five new hubs. Grateful to President Trump and @SecRollins for recognizing our state’s strength and vision during our meeting last month.” The USDA’s decision to select Indianapolis as a hub is part of broader efforts to decentralize federal agencies and bring them closer to communities they serve.

On July 25, 2025, Banks posted about a visit with Treasury Department officials: “Great to visit with @SecScottBessent at the Treasury Department yesterday. Appreciate all he is doing to support President Trump’s America First agenda”. The mention of President Trump’s “America First” agenda refers to ongoing policy priorities focused on domestic economic growth and government efficiency.

Jim Banks has served as a U.S. Senator from Indiana since January 2025 after previously representing Indiana’s 3rd congressional district in the House of Representatives.
