Senator Jim Banks, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Indiana’s 3rd district, has been active on social media sharing updates about his recent engagements and political views.

On May 8, 2025, Senator Banks expressed his pleasure at meeting with eighth graders from Holy Cross in Fort Wayne during their visit to the Capitol. He tweeted “Great to visit with 8th graders from Holy Cross in Fort Wayne at the Capitol yesterday “.

The following day, May 9, 2025, he shared an encounter with renowned golfer Tiger Woods at the White House. His tweet read: “Met @TigerWoods at the White House today! “.

Later that same day, Senator Banks addressed his political stance regarding tax policies through a tweet stating: “The new GOP is the party of the working class. We must focus tax cuts on delivering relief for hardworking Americans.”

Jim Banks has served in Congress since replacing Marlin Stutzman in 2017 and previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016. Born in Columbia City, Indiana, he graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004 with a BA.
