Today, Senator-elect Jim Banks from Indiana issued a statement in response to the recent Senate leadership elections. He expressed his anticipation of collaborating with the newly elected Senate Majority Leader John Thune to further President Trump's policy objectives.

Banks acknowledged the efforts of Majority Whip John Barrasso and Conference Chair Tom Cotton, stating, “I’d like to thank both our Majority Whip John Barrasso and our new Conference Chair Tom Cotton for the honor of asking me to give their nomination speeches, and I’d like to congratulate them both on their resounding victories.”

He emphasized the readiness of the Republican leadership team to address issues they perceive as resulting from the previous administration. "We have a strong leadership team and our new majority is situated to hit the ground running and undo the damage of the past four years," Banks remarked.

Expressing gratitude towards his constituents, Banks added, "I am honored that Hoosiers have entrusted me with this responsibility and I look forward to getting to work on their behalf to secure our border and bring prices down for working families in Indiana."
