Rep. Marlin Stutzman, a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, shared insights on social media about his experiences and motivations in politics and business. The tweets, posted on June 6, 2025, reflect on lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic and his aspirations to return to Congress.

In a tweet from June 6, 2025, Stutzman discussed his acquisition of the Round Barn Dinner Theatre in February 2020. He noted the challenges faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, stating “That one there probably taught me more lessons because of the effects of COVID and what the government did, as far as restrictions to our guests and our customers.”

Another post from the same day highlighted Stutzman's political ambitions following Rep. Jim Banks' decision to run for Senate in 2024. Stutzman saw this as an opportunity to leverage his private sector experience by returning to Congress. He expressed his motivation by saying “I felt like this is the right time to run and be able to help constituents.”

Stutzman's background in agriculture and trucking initially inspired him to enter politics. On June 6, he tweeted about how these industries influenced his understanding of governmental power over small businesses. He remarked “I saw how government has a lot of power that can affect a small business owner," adding that "America is full of small businesses.”
