The City of Fort Wayne has announced a public open house to present plans for the Leesburg Road and Main Street Roundabout Project, which includes the Wounded Veterans Memorial Monument. The project will feature ADA-compliant sidewalks, urban street design with curb and gutter, drainage improvements with new storm sewers, green infrastructure, street lighting, and urban landscaping. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025, with completion expected by summer 2026.

The meeting is set for 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17 at VFW Post 857, located at 2202 W. Main Street. During the session, a team from the City of Fort Wayne will reveal concept renderings of both the monument and roundabout and discuss the tentative timeline. This event provides an opportunity for public questions.

An ASL interpreter will be available for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
