Rep. Jim Banks has introduced the End Executive Branch Amnesty Act, a piece of immigration legislation aimed at addressing issues related to Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and the CHNV Parole Program. The bill seeks to limit the use of immigration parole, prohibit the CBP One application as identification, and reform how unaccompanied minors are treated.

Rep. Banks expressed concerns about small towns like Logansport, Indiana, which he says are heavily impacted by current border policies. "Small towns across our nation like Logansport, Indiana, are bearing the brunt of the Biden-Harris White House’s reckless open border policies. It’s time for Congress to secure our border once and for all," said Rep. Banks.

He further criticized the current administration's approach: “The Biden-Harris administration has abused the laws on the books to grant millions of non-citizens legal status. Republicans must restore our immigration system to Congress’s original intent and ensure parole is only used as a last-ditch humanitarian measure to help foreign nationals in times of catastrophe."

Logansport has reportedly seen an influx of approximately 5,000 Haitian migrants over two years, according to local resident Candice Espinoza who shared her experience with Fox News: “We don't have space for everybody, so the housing has been taken over and our schools have been taken over; pretty much the whole town has been taken over.”

Since October 2021, over 2.1 million foreigners have been granted parole under this administration. Additionally, more than 850,000 migrants from sixteen nations are protected from deportation through TPS.

The CHNV Parole Program—covering Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela—has brought over 520,000 foreign nationals into America since January 2024 without congressional authorization. An internal USCIS report noted fraud within this program leading to its temporary pause in July 2024 before resuming weeks later.

In another development from 2023 onwards, illegal aliens were allowed by DHS policy changes under Biden-Harris leadership using CBP One app submissions for identification purposes at entry ports which raised concerns due widespread fraud reported in September 2024 OIG findings.

Furthermore concerning statistics indicate that authorities lost track off approximately325k unaccompanied migrant children during this period reflecting broader systemic challenges faced amidst ongoing debates around national security implications linked directly back towards handling these complex socio-political dynamics affecting diverse communities nationwide today more than ever before given current geopolitical climate globally speaking too ultimately impacting domestic affairs here stateside alike regardless partisan affiliations involved therein naturally enough...
