Jim Banks, a U.S. Congressman representing Indiana's 3rd district since 2017, has recently expressed his views on various political matters through a series of tweets. Banks, who succeeded Marlin Stutzman and previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016, shared his opinions on international organizations and domestic policies.

On January 21, 2025, Jim Banks tweeted about the World Health Organization (WHO), stating that it is "corrupt and controlled by the CCP." He further expressed his support for former President Trump's decision to withdraw from the organization. The full tweet can be viewed here.

In another tweet posted later that day, Banks criticized the allocation of U.S. funds overseas while domestic issues persist. He praised President Trump for taking steps to protect taxpayer dollars: "The U.S. sends tens of billions of dollars overseas every year while our own people struggle to get by! Very important step by President Trump to protect tax dollars." The original post is available here.

Further emphasizing changes under Trump's administration, Banks announced that "DEI is over!" following an executive order banning Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in federal government operations. According to Banks' tweet at 14:59 UTC on January 21st, corporations have also moved away from DEI initiatives. The complete statement can be found here.
