Jim Banks, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Indiana's 3rd district since 2017, recently shared his views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Banks, who succeeded Marlin Stutzman and previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016, is known for his active engagement on social media.

On March 3, 2025, Banks confirmed the appointment of Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education. He stated that "Education policy belongs in the hands of the States & the local communities closest to families." He expressed confidence that McMahon would prioritize children's needs in national education policy.

In another tweet dated March 4, 2025, Banks criticized Democrats for their recent voting decisions. He claimed that "45 Democrats just voted to uphold a delusional ideology instead of protecting women and girls." He described this as part of what he perceives as an ongoing attack in what he calls "Democrats’ war on truth."

Later on March 4, Banks endorsed Elbridge Colby for a significant defense role at the Pentagon. He praised Colby's capabilities by stating that ".@ElbridgeColby will make an excellent Under Secretary of Defense for Policy at the Pentagon." Emphasizing global security challenges, Banks expressed confidence in Colby's leadership to navigate sophisticated threats effectively.
