Jim Banks highlights veterans' needs in recent visits and meetings

Senator Jim Banks, representing Indiana’s 3rd District, has been actively engaging with community and state leaders, as well as advocating for veterans' affairs, through a series of visits and meetings, as indicated by his recent tweets.

On April 23, 2025, Banks shared his meeting with Indiana Governor Mike Braun: "Great to visit with @GovBraun today. I appreciate his leadership for our great state!"

The following day, on April 24, Banks focused on his commitment to veterans, noting his visit to Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis and his objectives as a member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee: "Great to visit Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis yesterday. As a member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, I’m focused on making sure our Hoosier veterans always receive the benefits and health care they deserve."

Later that day, Banks communicated his visit to the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs headquarters, emphasizing his dedication to supporting veterans: "Today, I had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs. Hoosier veterans courageously sacrificed for our freedom and as a member of the @SVACGOP, I'm honored to fight for them."

Jim Banks, born in Columbia City, Indiana in 1979, has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2017, after succeeding Marlin Stutzman. Prior to this, he served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016. He graduated with a BA from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004.
