Senator Jim Banks, a Republican from Indiana, posted several comments on his X account in late September 2025 addressing recent law enforcement and political events.

On September 25, 2025, Banks expressed gratitude toward a public official for actions taken against former FBI Director James Comey. In his post, he stated, "Thank you @AGPamBondi for holding James Comey accountable!"

The following day, on September 26, Banks commented on incidents involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities in Texas and Illinois. He wrote, "Just days after a deranged leftist opens fire at an ICE facility in Texas, left-wing rioters are again targeting ICE in Illinois. President Trump is right that we have a left-wing terror problem. It’s time to arrest these radicals."

Later the same day, Banks criticized Democratic lawmakers over budget negotiations and potential government shutdowns. He said, "Democrats are making their priorities clear. They are willing to shutdown the government at the expense of struggling families."

Jim Banks has been serving as a U.S. Senator from Indiana since January 2025 after previously representing Indiana's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives.
