Allen County recently issued the following announcement.
Allen County has begun a partnership with Quest Construction Data Network, a web-based initiative designed to bring maximum efficiency to the process of soliciting bids for county projects.
The system will deliver the county’s project plans and bid documents to the bidding community in a more timely and cost effective way. Potential bidders can become members of QuestDCN to preview plan drawings and specifications at no cost before deciding to pay and download the project’s bid documents. The bid documents will then be submitted through the company’s VirtuBid online system. Plan holder lists and project bid results will also be available on the website.
“This process eliminates costs associated with producing multiple copies of proposals and allows bidders the benefit of last-minute price adjustments to ensure the most competitive bids,” said the Allen County Board of Commissioners.
“We are excited about this new process and look forward to working with our departments, contractors, vendors and suppliers as we move forward with the QuestDCN online bidding program,” added Dawn Rose, county purchasing director.
