Rep. Marlin Stutzman, a U.S. Congressman from Indiana, posted a series of tweets in early November 2025 addressing federal spending, partisan tensions in Congress, and a recent appointment to the Department of Justice.

On November 4, 2025, Stutzman criticized Democratic lawmakers for their approach to budget negotiations. He stated, "Steps must be taken to make sure Democrats stop using the American people as 'leverage' to hold up President Trump’s America First agenda. I support a long-term CR to control spending, block a bloated omnibus, and prevent further 'shutdowns'."

The following day, on November 5, he reflected on what he described as an anniversary of political victory while expressing concerns about ongoing partisan disputes: "A year ago today, America won. Still, democrats are trying to slow our progress by shutting down the government, using lawfare, and turning to political violence. We need to act. Redraw Indiana’s maps, stop the filibuster on the CR. Democrat nonsense has gone on for too long."

On November 6, Stutzman congratulated Dan Bishop on his new role within the Department of Justice: "Congratulations to former @freedomcaucus member @RepDanBishop on his appointment to U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina. He will be a strong defender of the Constitution and ensure conservative voices will not be censored!"

Congressional debates over continuing resolutions (CRs) and government funding have been recurring points of contention between Republicans and Democrats in recent years. The appointment referenced by Stutzman reflects ongoing shifts within key federal positions.
