Judy Woodruff’s March 24 visit to Purdue Fort Wayne postponed; new date being explored

2

Purdue University Fort Wayne recently issued the following announcement.

“An Evening with Judy Woodruff” at Purdue University Fort Wayne, originally scheduled for March 24, has been postponed. Woodruff, a broadcast pioneer who has spent five

decades breaking stories and glass ceilings, was set to speak on campus thanks to the university’s longtime partnership with PBS Fort Wayne – and in celebration of the public

television station’s 45th anniversary. Purdue Fort Wayne and PBS Fort Wayne are exploring the likelihood of moving the visit to the university’s fall semester.

Woodruff is a well-respected journalist who is best known for her work with NBC, CNN, and PBS. She has been a White House correspondent, chief Washington correspondent,

and anchored numerous programs, including the award-winning documentary series Frontline with Judy Woodruff.

In 2013, she, along with the late Gwen Ifill, broke boundaries as they became the first two women to co-anchor a national news broadcast, PBS NewsHour.
