Police Reserve Process
The New Haven Police Department is currently seeking interested applicants to join the New Haven Police Department Reserve program. Applications are available now at the New Haven Police Department Communications window located at 815 E. Lincoln Highway, New Haven Indiana 46774. Applications will be accepted now through Friday September 30, 2022, at 4pm. Applicants must be 21 years of age and possess a valid Indiana driver's license.
Each Reserve Officer is required to work a minimum of 16 hours a month. The Reserve Officer starts out receiving training in Criminal Law, Firearms, Emergency Vehicle Operations, Defensive Tactics, Traffic Law and more. Reserve Officers also receive training on various Law Enforcement topics monthly.
