Washington, D.C. - Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04) expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Congressman Greg Pence (IN-06) as Pence announced his retirement from Congress. Baird commended Pence's dedication and service to the people of Indiana, highlighting their collaborative efforts on various bills aimed at improving the lives of Hoosiers.

"Rep. Pence has been a courageous legislator and great friend during his time in Washington," said Rep. Baird. "We have collaborated on dozens of bills to improve the lives of Hoosiers, including expanding rural broadband access and allowing Federal State Department employees to report government waste."

Baird acknowledged the significance of Pence's family legacy, as he served in the same seat once occupied by his brother, former Vice President and Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence. The congressman extended his gratitude to the entire Pence family for their service to Indiana and the country as a whole.

"I want to thank Greg and the entire Pence family for their service to Indiana and the entire country. His presence will be sorely missed in Washington."

Pence's retirement announcement marks the end of his tenure in Congress, which began in 2018. Throughout his time in office, he has worked diligently to address the needs of his constituents and make a positive impact on Indiana's communities.

As Indiana bids farewell to Rep. Pence, his contributions and dedication to public service will be remembered and appreciated. His retirement leaves a void in Washington, but his legacy continues to inspire future leaders to work tirelessly for the betterment of their constituents and the nation.
