Rep. Jim Baird (IN-04) was honored with the ‘Legislator of the Year’ award by the Agriculture Retailers Association (ARA) at its annual meeting. In his acceptance speech, Rep. Baird emphasized the importance of supporting American farmers by ensuring they have access to affordable products and equipment to reduce operating costs. He stated, “I’ve been committed to helping our farmers so they can continue doing what they do best – keep feeding our nation. I’m honored to be recognized with this award and will continue to be a relentless advocate for American agriculture.”

ARA President & CEO Daren Coppock highlighted the significance of leaders like Rep. Baird who champion policies that protect the ag retailer’s right to operate and provide essential products and services to farmers. Coppock stated, “The entire ag community benefits when leaders like Rep. Baird take a stand on policies that protect the ag retailer’s right to operate and deliver essential products and services to their farmer customers.”
