June 12, 2024 - City of Fort Wayne officials joined Blessings in a Backpack Fort Wayne at the Pontiac Street Market to announce the “Triple Impact Program” in partnership with Parkview and The Chapel.

This pilot program aims to direct donated funds back into the community to help reduce the food desert in south Fort Wayne, while feeding 1,175 at-risk children every weekend and encouraging community engagement.

Blessings hopes to attract community partners for both funding and volunteer commitments in packing the weekend bags for children. The Chapel has committed to packing 800 bags for Adams and Fairfield elementary schools, while Canterbury High School will pack 375 bags, benefiting a total of 1,175 students through the new initiative.
