Beginning Thursday, September 5, 2024, crews will start connecting residents to a new water main on Spring Street. The work will close Spring to through traffic between Hillegas Road and Sherman Boulevard.
A daytime detour, between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, will use West State Boulevard, Hillegas, and Sherman and will be in place through October 17, 2024. Spring Street will be open to traffic after 6:00 pm until the following day.
Residents in the area will have limited access, but there will be no street parking between St. Marys Avenue and Schilling Avenue during construction.
This summer, crews replaced a water main that was more than 100 years old and placed in service in 1910. The work will also help residents with a lead service line on their property to replace it.
