Jim Banks, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Indiana's 3rd district since 2017, has shared several opinions and updates on social media. Banks, who succeeded Marlin Stutzman in Congress and previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016, often uses his platform to discuss pressing national issues.

On February 3, 2025, Jim Banks addressed the impact of fentanyl trafficking from Mexico on American families and communities. He expressed support for former President Trump's policies by stating: "Fentanyl from Mexico has destroyed families and communities across the country for years. President Trump’s tariffs + leadership will save lives!"

Later that day, Banks highlighted support for Tulsi Gabbard's nomination as Director of National Intelligence (DNI). He referenced testimonials from military personnel who served with her: "‘Uniquely Qualified’: Soldiers Who Served With Tulsi Gabbard Tell Senate Why They Back Her For DNI"

In another post on February 3, Banks confirmed the appointments of Doug Burgum as Interior Secretary and Chris Wright as Energy Secretary. He commented on their significance for energy policy: "CONFIRMED: Interior Secretary @DougBurgum and Energy Secretary @ChrisAWright_. Their confirmations are a massive win for American energy independence and the strategic use of our natural resources."
