On February 4, 2025, Banks expressed his support for Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins, stating: "CONFIRMED: Veterans Affairs Secretary @RepDougCollins I was proud to vote for my friend, fellow Navy veteran, and former House colleague. Secretary Collins will always fight for our nation’s veterans."
Later that day, Banks highlighted his meeting with law enforcement officers from various counties. He tweeted: "Great to meet with sheriffs from Vanderburgh, Tippecanoe, and Boone counties today. Grateful for all of the law enforcement officers who risk their lives to keep us safe!"
In another update on the same day, Banks shared his experience with military cadets at West Point. He wrote: "Enjoyed meeting with West Point cadets today. Their patriotism and commitment to service was inspiring. The future of our military is bright!"
