Congressman Jim Baird of Indiana's 4th District has expressed his support for the House Concurrent Resolution 14, which pertains to the budget for Fiscal Year 2025. The resolution aims to facilitate significant tax cuts and promote economic growth.

In a statement, Congressman Baird emphasized the commitment of House Republicans to advancing President Trump's agenda. He stated, "House Republicans remain committed to delivering on President Trump’s full agenda. This budget resolution creates a vehicle for the House to expand tax relief for Hoosier families, unleash American energy production, secure our border, strengthen our military, stop the reckless spending, rescind the Biden Administration’s burdensome, costly regulations, and put America first."

Baird highlighted concerns about national debt and inflation. "Our country is over 36 trillion dollars in debt and counting," he said. He believes that this budget resolution will help control excessive spending contributing to inflation and national debt increase.

He clarified that this legislation is not a final product but serves as groundwork for further negotiations between the House and Senate. "This legislation is not the final product but rather lays the groundwork for the reconciliation process that will allow the House and Senate to enter negotiations and make budgetary recommendations," Baird explained.

Baird concluded by stating his reasons for supporting the resolution: "This is why I voted for the House’s budget resolution to restore security, fiscal sanity, and economic prosperity to the American people."
