Jim Banks, a U.S. Congressman representing Indiana's 3rd district since 2017, has been vocal on social media regarding political matters and celebrations. On March 15, 2025, he expressed his support for former President Trump by stating that "America and the world are safer with President Trump back in the White House!"

On March 17, 2025, Banks addressed a controversial topic involving pardons and guilt. He referenced an old Supreme Court case to argue that "For months the Democrats said that under an old Supreme Court case, taking a pardon is an indication of guilt." He further implied that by accepting pardons, individuals like Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney have confessed to criminal activities.

Later on the same day, Banks took a lighter tone to commemorate a cultural event by wishing everyone "Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!"
