Jim Banks, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Indiana's 3rd District, has shared opinions on economic and political issues through a series of recent tweets. Known for replacing Marlin Stutzman in 2017, Banks has served in Congress after earlier serving in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016. He holds a BA from Indiana University Bloomington and resides in Columbia City, where he was born.

On April 3, 2025, Banks stated his perspective on international relations under Donald Trump, "Under President Trump, other countries won’t be taking advantage of us anymore. He’s already bringing back good paying jobs that give working class families a shot at the American dream."

On April 4, 2025, Banks expressed concerns over Democratic policies, asserting, "Democrats—who used to say they supported the working people of this country—are now going to vote for the biggest tax hike in history on working class families."
