He stated, "It’s tax day and Democrats are using your tax dollars to fly to El Salvador and demand an illegal immigrant be brought back to the U.S. Totally insane!" Jim Banks, born in Columbia City, Indiana, holds a BA degree from Indiana University Bloomington and has been serving in Congress since 2017 after a stint in the Indiana Senate. Residing in his hometown, the 43-year-old legislator succeeded Marlin Stutzman in his current congressional role.
