Senator Jim Banks, a member of the U.S. Congress from Indiana's 3rd district, is vocally expressing his stance on various current issues through social media. Banks, who has been in Congress since 2017 and previously served in the Indiana Senate, has made several notable statements online regarding public funding and immigration policies.

On April 21, 2025, Senator Banks criticized publicly funded media organizations with a tweet stating, "Democratic media outlets like NPR shouldn’t be funded by taxpayer dollars. My bill ensures YOUR money doesn’t bankroll left-wing propaganda. Thanks to @RepKatCammack for leading in the House."

Later that same day, Banks addressed issues related to foreign terrorists and due process by tweeting, "Foreign terrorists, including MS-13 gang members, aren’t entitled to the same due process or constitutional rights as Americans."

Continuing his social media engagement, Banks shared positive news for his home state on April 22, 2025, without providing further context in his tweet: "More great news for Indiana! https://t.co/vKkXjVwQru."

Jim Banks, who was born in Columbia City, Indiana in 1979 and graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004, continues his service in Congress where he focuses on various state and national issues.
