Senator Jim Banks, representing Indiana's 3rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2017, has expressed views through several tweets, revealing his support for economic growth under the Trump administration, concern over international terrorism, and a call to defund National Public Radio (NPR).

On April 22, 2025, Senator Banks tweeted about economic achievements associated with President Trump's policies, stating it as "Another huge win for Indiana. President Trump’s agenda is continuing to deliver good-paying jobs to hardworking Americans."

The following day, on April 23, 2025, he addressed a serious incident with "My prayers are with those killed and injured in the Pahalgam terror attack. The U.S. stands firmly against this unthinkable evil."

Senator Banks also expressed his stance on public broadcasting, criticizing NPR in a tweet later that day. He asserted, "NPR has pushed left-wing propaganda for decades. Your taxpayer dollars have been funding it. My bill puts an end to it."

Jim Banks has had a longstanding presence in Indiana politics. He has served in the U.S. Congress since 2017 after replacing Marlin Stutzman and had previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016. Born in Columbia City, Indiana, in 1979, Banks lives in Columbia City now and graduated in 2004 from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor's degree.
