Senator Jim Banks, a U.S. Congress member representing Indiana's 3rd district since 2017, shared his thoughts on social media regarding sports and legislative matters. Banks, who succeeded Marlin Stutzman and previously served in the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016, made several posts on June 5, 2025.

In his first post of the day at 20:15 UTC, Senator Banks expressed his support for a local sports team by stating, "We can all agree - Go Pacers!" He tagged notable figures such as Donald Trump and Elon Musk in this message.

Later that evening at 20:39 UTC, he urged for legislative action with a call to "Pass the One Big Beautiful Bill now!" This tweet was directed towards Charlie Kirk.

At 21:02 UTC, Banks elaborated on the implications of not passing the aforementioned bill. He warned that "Voting against the One Big Beautiful Bill is voting for the largest tax increase on working class Americans in history." He reaffirmed his stance by declaring, "I won’t do that. Let’s get this passed!" while mentioning Larry Kudlow.

Jim Banks has resided in Columbia City, Indiana since birth in 1979. He holds a BA from Indiana University Bloomington, obtained in 2004.
