Rep. Marlin Stutzman, a U.S. Congressman from Indiana's 3rd District, recently addressed national events and legislative actions through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On July 14, 2025, Stutzman commented on the recent attempt on the President's life in Butler, Pennsylvania. He wrote, "The assassination attempt on @POTUS's life in Butler, PA was a direct result of political tensions spiraling out of control.

Political violence is unacceptable, and we as Americans should be able to respectfully disagree without physically attacking each other.

I was proud to https://t.co/FFEo62XzZc".

The following day, July 15, 2025, Stutzman discussed tax policy changes enacted by Congress: "Through the extension of the Trump-era tax provisions in the Big Beautiful Bill, Republicans prevented the largest tax hike in AMERICAN HISTORY.

Keeping these cuts in place empowers small businesses and manufacturers, drives job creation, and strengthens middle-class families."

On July 16, 2025, he acknowledged an interview with members of the press regarding current affairs both domestically and abroad: "Thank you to the @DC_Reporter @MatthewFoldi for speaking with me about the latest going on in Washington and the Middle East! https://t.co/YZuMnsJLfs".

Stutzman's remarks come amid heightened security concerns following an attempted assassination targeting President Joe Biden during a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident has intensified discussions about political polarization and public safety across the country. In addition to addressing security issues, Stutzman's reference to "the Big Beautiful Bill" pertains to recent congressional action that extended tax cuts originally implemented during Donald Trump's presidency; supporters argue these provisions help avoid significant increases for individuals and businesses while critics debate their long-term fiscal impact.

As part of his ongoing engagement with constituents and media outlets such as DC Reporter and journalist Matthew Foldi, Stutzman continues to provide commentary on both domestic policies and international developments from his perspective as a member of Congress representing Indiana’s 3rd District.
