Fort Wayne Virtual Academy expands statewide for grades 6-12

Fort Wayne Virtual Academy (FWVA), part of Fort Wayne Community Schools, is expanding its virtual learning program to include students in grades 6-12 across Indiana.

Educators, technology leaders, and learning innovators will convene for the annual FWCS ignitED classroom technology conference on Tuesday, July 15. The event will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Northrop High School located at 7001 Coldwater Road.

Commencement ceremonies for Fort Wayne Community Schools are scheduled for Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31. A total of 1,860 students from the Class of 2025 will be graduating.

The FWCS Career Academy is preparing to honor Career and Technical Education (CTE) students during its eighth annual Signing Day ceremony.

In addition, Fort Wayne Community Schools has announced a new partnership with the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne and Champions of Greater Fort Wayne. This collaboration aims to offer comprehensive childcare services before and after school for elementary students from pre-K through fifth grade.
