Rep. Marlin Stutzman, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Indiana, posted several statements on his social media account in early November 2025 regarding government operations and judicial actions.

On November 1, 2025, Stutzman commented on the interruption of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), writing: "Today is the first day in history SNAP is interrupted by a failure to pass appropriations. In order to “leverage” Republicans this has now transformed from the Schumer Shutdown to the Schumer STARVATION! https://t.co/U2PG4sDgEr"

The following day, November 2, 2025, Stutzman shared a biblical quotation: "“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:18"

On November 3, 2025, he criticized Judge Boasberg's conduct from his perspective as a legislator: "It is clear that Judge Boasberg has abused his judicial authority for weaponized political purposes. Impeachment hearings should begin immediately! https://t.co/UEoN7pD27J"

Congressional disputes over appropriations have led to periodic threats of government shutdowns in recent years. Interruptions in programs such as SNAP can impact millions of Americans who rely on food assistance during budget impasses.

Judge James E. Boasberg serves as Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and has presided over several high-profile cases.
