Dr. Daniel urges rejection of bills affecting school funding

Dr. Mark Daniel convened a press conference on Monday, March 3, to express concerns regarding potential reductions in school funding. He urged legislators to dismiss proposed bills that could threaten the financial support of educational institutions.

Meanwhile, students from New Tech Academy at Wayne High School showcased their annual art exhibition in honor of Black History Month. This event is part of the school's efforts to celebrate cultural heritage through artistic expression.

In another development, over 100 Career and Technical Education students are set to participate in the 17th Annual SkillsUSA Regional Competition. This competition allows students to demonstrate their proficiency and skills across various disciplines.

Arlington Elementary School will undergo a transformation this fall, adopting the name Arlington STEM Elementary School. The change accompanies the implementation of the Project Lead the Way curriculum, which emphasizes science, technology, engineering, and math education.

Additionally, Fort Wayne Community Schools has extended an invitation to incoming freshmen and their families to explore opportunities available at its five traditional high schools and the Fort Wayne Virtual Academy.
