Senator Jim Banks, representing Indiana, recently addressed several policy concerns in a series of posts on his social media account.

On November 13, 2025, Banks posted a message featuring an American flag emoji: "".

The following day, he criticized the Biden administration's handling of vape imports from China. On November 14, 2025, Banks wrote: "Biden opened the door for China to flood our country with illegal vapes, poisoning our kids. The funding bill I voted for this week to reopen the government gives @POTUS the resources he needs to stop Beijing before it’s too late." This post refers to ongoing concerns about illicit vape products entering the U.S. market and links these issues to recent government funding legislation.

Later that same day, Banks addressed employment policies regarding foreign workers. On November 14, 2025, he stated: "The OPT program lets companies dodge hiring Americans and incentivizes them to hire cheap foreign labor. It isn’t even authorized by Congress. It’s time to END it. American graduates and workers must be our priority." The Optional Practical Training (OPT) program allows international students on F-1 visas to work temporarily in the United States after graduation; its existence has been a point of contention among some lawmakers who argue it impacts domestic job opportunities.

Senator Jim Banks has previously served as a member of the House of Representatives before being elected to the Senate in 2024.
