97 percent of applicants to Indiana University-Purdue University-Fort Wayne were admitted for fall 2018

At Indiana University-Purdue University-Fort Wayne, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Fort Wayne enrolled 10,139 students in fall 2018, including 9,664 in undergraduate and 475 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

91 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 6 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (77 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 97 percent of the 4,777 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 34 percent enrolled.
