Mastodon Track and Field Squads Picked Fourth in Indoor #HLTF Preseason Polls
Both Purdue Fort Wayne track and field teams were picked to finish fourth in the 2022-23 Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Preseason Polls.
The women earned fourth place with 98 total points. The men picked up the fourth spot with 80 points. Youngstown State earned the top spot in both polls.
The men's fourth place pick represents an expected improvement from their sixth place finish last season at the 2022 indoor championships. The women were fourth at last season's league meet.
The 'Dons open the indoor season on Friday and Saturday in Fort Wayne. Friday (Dec. 2) will be the Mastodon Multi Invitational. Saturday (Dec. 3) will be the Mastodon Opener with 25 'Dons being honored prior to the meet for Senior Day. Both meets will be held at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse on campus.
Purdue Fort Wayne hosts the 2023 Horizon League Indoor Championships Feb. 25-26.
