Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) is set to participate in National Walk & Roll to School Day. The event will involve students, staff, community members, and alumni celebrating a century of learning at Harrison Hill Elementary.

The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees recently reviewed the proposed 2025 budget on Monday, September 9. While the budget shows a slight increase, it is expected that the tax rate will decrease.

Additionally, FWCS plans to honor its 2024 Teachers of the Year, Employee of the Year, and finalists at an event held at the Wendy Y. Robinson Family & Community Engagement Center.

In another school-related event, Glenwood Park Elementary School’s principal is marking his 40th birthday by running a mile to raise funds for the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
