Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) has marked the successful launch of its Schools of Success initiative. This program aims to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes for students within the district.
In related activities, FWCS plans to commemorate Veterans Day with various events across the district. Students will engage in activities that honor veterans, including performing patriotic music and exploring military careers.
Shambaugh Elementary is hosting an Open House on Friday, October 25, from 6-7:30 p.m., inviting the public to participate in a celebration. Attendees will have a chance to view a time capsule's contents and reflect on life in 1994.
Additionally, FWCS will welcome over 50 community members into its schools as part of the annual Principal for a Day event scheduled for October 16.
The district also intends to participate in National Walk & Roll to School Day, encouraging students to engage in physical activity while commuting to school.
