The Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) Adult and Continuing Education Department is set to honor over 240 graduates who completed their diplomas in 2024. The event highlights the achievements of students who have pursued education beyond traditional timelines.

In other FWCS news, Dr. Mark Daniel addressed concerns regarding school funding cuts during a press conference held on Monday, March 3. The community remains attentive to potential impacts on educational programs and resources.

Additionally, New Tech Academy students at Wayne High School are showcasing their annual art exhibition in celebration of Black History Month. This event offers an opportunity for students to display their artistic talents while commemorating important cultural history.

Further emphasizing skill development, more than 100 Career and Technical Education students from the region will participate in the 17th Annual SkillsUSA Regional Competition. This event serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their technical skills in various disciplines.

Looking ahead, Arlington Elementary School will transition to Arlington STEM Elementary School this fall. The school plans to adopt the Project Lead the Way curriculum, which emphasizes science, technology, engineering, and math education.
